ASUU STRIKE

ASUU  STRIKE

ASUU has been on strike for sometime now, students have been at home for some time now. Many people are of the opinion that the strike should be called off, but I am of the opinion that they should continue;  infact I  even want the strike to go on for a whole year if possible. You might be asking why? Why? Because the government has to sit up, they need to look into the educational standard of Nigerian Universities. Nigeria is a country wherein schools go through the students not students going through the schools. Students can spend years in school and end up knowing nothing. They might be theoritically balanced but practically imbalanced. How can a so-called computer engineer when given a computer be dumb-founded, a doctor threaten a patient or not care about lives. The reason is because many of them were not thought the ethics of their career or profession due to lack of sound teachings.
The Nigeria Government needs to invest a lot into our Universities, they need to equip the Universities. We want a change. We need to see quality, up to standard Labs, committed lecturers: lecturers are not committed because they are not well paid.
I wonder why some parents are of the opinion that the strike must be called of. Many at times, parents use school as an opportunity to get rid of their children, that’s why they send them to boarding schools forgetting that your children are your responsibility. Let me ask a question: if the strike is called off, and there is no development in the Nigerian school system, should schools resume? Do you prefer poor and low educational system where your kids come out half baked? what Who will you blame: the Universities’ authorities or yourself?. Isn’t it time we stand up and make lasting decision for generations unborn? How long can continue with a system that never produces students that can compete with the colleagues from other advanced countries? We either go for the change or stick with the imbalance.
We don’t need to send our kids to Ghana or fly them abroad for quality Education, we are Nigerians, The Giant of Africa, we must strive to be the Best. We are going to be 53years Oct 1st, if the Government doesn’t look into the system of education, I don’t see any reason to celebrate Independence because we are living below our potentials, endowments and standards.
ASUU continue the strike. If the Government doesn’t want to do something, they won’t have peace.

INDEPENDENCE DAY

Hi, everyone!!  Its been a while. I hope you all have been alright cause I have been blessed. Today, I decided to talk on Independence day because Independence day is just around the corner. I know y’all have your costumes ready and everything in tact to blast that day in a positive way.
So back to my topic of discussion; Independence Day.
Independence day has several meanings to people so, I wanna share my own perspective on Independence day. Independence day is a memorial celebration, a day set aside to reminisce our freedom from Colonial masters. This is a day set aside to remember our Heroes of the Past, how they struggled to gain the freedom we now enjoy. It’s a day set aside to show how patriotic you are, a day where we all put on our Country’s colour, wave our flag with pride, visit pals and several other things.
So, with all these in mind how are we supposed to celebrate Independence? Many people, celebrate it differently, but we have to put in mind the fact that we are Celebrating our Country, our Heritage, our Pride,  without these things in mind, its just gonna be another day whereby you are putting on your Country’s Colour and going about your business. Your Heritage, Culture, Freedom, all these things give you a mindset that yes!! Its another year added to your Country, you look back and think about where you are coming from and where you are going, what you’ve done, ands what you’re gonna do. You don’t just go out looking like a flag and have no vision, no mission, no new resolution, no plan to make your Country, the World a better place. You don’t need to have millions you can start from where you are. Reachout to those in need, share knowledge, spread the Gospel, bless lives or do something about your environment. I can assure you, when you are PASSIONATE about your Country, you can create the change.

With all these said, I wanna wish you a happy Independence Day Celebration, utilize your time wisely because you are the change your country needs.
Green is my favourite colour, that's why its all GREENY, and I’m gonna rock my day spreading the Good news of Christ on Oct 1st. I’m also gonna blog my experience.

To all Nigerians, happy Independence Day Celebration. We are finally 53years. Hurray!!!!
Nigeria, The Giant of Africa. God Bless You!!
